Every year, the museums in numerous Swiss cities open their doors at unusual times. The cultural and culinary presentations during the Museum Nights are already an integral part of cultural life in many places. Thousands of night owls are out and about in droves on each of these nights. In the title story we will whet your appetite for the Museum Night in Berne. We have also compiled a complete list of Museum Nights in Switzerland. A soft bed in a Youth Hostel is waiting for you in all the mentioned cities.

Last year, our employees Andrea Lang and Brigitta Ryser gave their ecological tips on sustainable behaviour. We are continuing this series, and will use a list of words to show how the Youth Hostels promote sustainability. More information on Page 7.

You have also certainly seen that the members’ magazine of Swiss Youth Hostels has a new fresh appearance. It gives us great pleasure to surprise you with this issue today. We are keen to know what you think of it.

Finally, our hostel  managers have been very busy in the Youth Hostels. You can find the fruits of their labour in the attractive offers from Page 10 onwards.
